There is also one sculpture of O'Keeffe's that's visible from the sidewalk around the corner from the Museum at the O'Keeffe Research Center:
After the Museum we walked over to the Plaza, and again we had a beautiful day!
And of course, we looked at all of the beautiful, handmade, Native American jewelry being sold, and yes, we each got a piece to take home. Each of the artists has to be registered and verify that the jewelry they're making is handmade and authentic. Most of the people selling the jewelry also made the jewelry and they can tell you about the stones and how it was made. Very cool to walk along and chat with everyone.
For our last meal in Santa Fe we headed to Cafe Pasqual's. Ania had been talking about this since we first saw it on our first day in Santa Fe and I'm so glad we finally made it here.
Everything is local and organic and simply delicious. I had the Mole Enchiladas and they were wonderful! Ania had Chorizo Enchiladas and enjoyed them, too. A perfect send-off as we get ready to wave good-bye to beautiful Southwest weather, sunshine, scenery and food!
On the way back to the car I spotted this building with the blue sky behind it and I thought that summed up the colors and feel of Santa Fe:
We packed in a lot for only a long weekend, but there's still so much more to see! I'd love to go back and explore this area even more. Maybe someday....
